[Manga+Novel] Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop + Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: Glory of the Defeated

2010 marks the 15th Anniversary of Gundam Wing!

To commemorate this occassion, head scriptwriter of the series, Katsuyuki Sumisawa, started to write a novelization of the series’ sequel last August. The sequel is entitled “Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop.” FT promo pic Here’s FT’s synopsis from Gundam Wikia: Quote: Beginning with the introduction of Preventer agent Kathy Po, the story thus far has involved filling in vital details regarding the events in After Colony leading up to the events of the series, including the origins and backgrounds of OZ Leader Treize Khushrenada and Gundam pilot Heero Yuy. In the non-flashback segments of the novel thus far, Kathy meets a Father Maxwell and his son, Duo. She hands a data chip from ESUN President Dorothy T. Catalonia containing 3 segments over to her superior officer Master Chang, who uses the data in order to awaken the “Aurora Princess” and set forth the motions for “Operation Mythos”. So in a nutshell, FT has Heero Yuy frozen for 30 years and has been awakened to kill Relena Peacecraft, who was also frozen but woke up earlier than Heero. Chapter 4 of FT The story’s main character is Kathy Po (Sally’s daughter) – a sad, sad news for Sally x Wufei supporters – since Wufei is not the father. Hihi. But it doesn’t end there!!  Sumisawa also began the manga “Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: The Glory of the Defeated.” It’s a complete re-telling of the whole Gundam Wing story starting from the very first manga “Episode Zero” up to “Frozen Teardrop.” Glory of the Defeated, thus, will put together all the missing pieces and fill in the loopholes from the series, the OVA, and other manga. However, I prefer the original art  As of this writing, FT has 4 chapters and GotD has three chapters ^_^
